V. Ashley Villar is an Assistant Professor at Harvard University. Her research focuses on the eruptions, explosions, and mergers of stars, using observations and data science to uncover the origins and physics of these rare events. She utilizes ground- and space-based observatories, with an emphasis on large surveys such as the Vera C. Rubin Observatory and the Roman Space Observatory, and is co-PI of the Young Supernova Experiment.
