Scott W. Randall is a Senior Astrophysicist in the High Energy Astrophysics Division at the CfA, and head of the Chandra Science Operations Team in Mission Planning at the Chandra X-ray Center. He joined the CfA as a postdoctoral fellow in 2004 before joining the Chandra Mission Planning Team in 2007. His research focuses on clusters and groups of galaxies, large scale structure and cosmic filaments, supermassive black hole feedback, the physics of diffuse plasmas, and the nature of dark matter. He is also involved in the design and development of future space-based missions, particularly in the X-ray waveband.
