Cameren Swiggum

Cameren Swiggum joined the CfA in November as a postdoctoral researcher in the OIR Division, working with Dr. Catherine Zucker. He recently completed his Ph.D. in Astrophysics at the University of Vienna. His research focuses on reconstructing the recent star-formation history of the solar neighborhood by combining Gaia astrometry, young star clusters, and 3D interstellar dust maps. He develops time-resolved 3D maps of clustered supernova feedback and traces the dynamical evolution of star-forming complexes within ~1 kpc of the Sun to understand how stellar feedback shapes the local interstellar medium and Galactic structure.
