Dr. Kelbert is a geophysicist by training, with specialties in global electromagnetics, magnetotellurics and geophysical inverse problems. She has also worked on cyberinfrastructure for the geosciences, including semantics, and on space weather hazards, with a particular focus on geomagnetically induced currents (GICs) in the electric power grids. At ADS/SciX, Dr. Kelbert is helping make the Science Explorer (SciX) relevant and reliable for all areas of Earth science research.
Ph.D. in Mathematical Geophysics from Cardiff University, UK; B.A. in Mathematics from Cambridge University, UK.
