        About
Akum is a first year graduate student in the astrophysics research area in the physics department. His undergraduate work at the University of Michigan was in efficient galaxy cluster mass inference as part of the LSST Dark Energy Science Collaboration. He's currently working with Chris Stubbs on observational cosmology. His background is in software engineering (counter terrorism and child safety at Facebook/Meta; genomic analysis at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard). His personal website is www.akumgill.com.
